Sophie Caitlin Dodd is a curator and arts administrator based in New York. Her curatorial practice explores the intersection of visual culture and literature, with a particular interest in language, translation, and the fraught nature of memory.

Most recently, Sophie curated Messing With Language, a group exhibition at Emerson Contemporary featuring six emerging artists based in the Northeast.

Over the past two and a half years, Sophie has worked across non-profit and academic gallery settings. At Emerson Contemporary, she started as a gallery assistant and grew into leading the gallery’s digital communications team. Sophie has also interned at Known Studio in Los Angeles and volunteered at Gallery 263 in Cambridge. Her work is driven by a commitment to socially engaged visual culture and community-driven programming.
